In June 2022, I joined GetAgent.co.uk as a Senior Product Designer with an exciting challenge ahead of me: to design a new product that would empower homeowners with a deeper understanding of their local property market. GetAgent’s vision was to create a tool that not only tracks the value of their home over time but also keeps them informed of any planning works in their area—helping homeowners make more informed decisions about their most valuable asset.
My Role
As the Senior Product Designer, I was at the forefront of this ambitious project, responsible for turning this vision into a user-centric reality. My role involved:
• Product Strategy: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define the product’s roadmap, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and user needs.
• User Research: Conducting extensive research to understand the pain points and desires of homeowners, translating these insights into actionable design decisions.
• Design & Prototyping: Leading the design process from ideation to final execution, creating intuitive and engaging interfaces that provide homeowners with valuable insights about their properties.
• Testing & Iteration: Implementing a user feedback loop, refining the product based on real-world usage, and iterating on designs to enhance usability and effectiveness.
