Check an Invoice had one main problem - people just couldn't catch on quick enough. Their brand - at a glance - didn't align with who they were, or imply what they solved. Because of this, their brand was by no means compelling and thus - people were reluctant to run their private businesses invoices through the platform (after they worked out that's what they would use it for). The brand was intimidating and unbalanced, so instead of making you feel safe when you visited their website, you were left feeling somewhat anxious.

It's far easier to trust a company when their brand puts you at ease and their platform is intuitive and engaging. It's not hard to see why Monzo is becoming a big problem for big banks and that was what I intended to do for these guys.
